6000 Series Transponders
Multi-purpose, acoustic transponders housed in glass spheres and protected with hardhats.   Operating range is 10 km; maximum operating depth is 6700 m; maximum operating life up to 4 years/200,000 transponds; transmit and receive frequencies in the 7 kHz to 19 kHz range. Available in releasable and expendable versions. Intended for use in long baseline navigation systems.

DS-7000 Acoustic Deck Set
A modular system for commanding Benthos’ acoustic systems and other manufacturers’ acoustic systems, the DS-7000 operates in the 7-15 kHz band and incorporates 1-16 digitally tunable receiver/transmitter channels. The DS-7000 is also the core of our acoustic Long Baseline navigation solutions.
