SM-75

The SM-75, or SMART Modem, is the latest model to be introduced in the SMART product line. Similar to the TR-6000, a proven Benthos acoustic transponder, the electronics, batteries and a transducer are housed in a glass sphere with a burn wire release mechanism. This self-buoyant modem however offers much more capabilities for the user. The glass sphere contains the modem PCB which allows the user full telemetry capability to full ocean depth, with RS-232 connectivity to attached sensors. The SM-75 may operate independently or can function as a node in a small network.
