PSA-900 Sonar Altimeter
The Datasonics PSA-900 series of programmable sonar altimeters are multi-use, precision instruments for acoustic range measurement in water. The PSA-900 generates a narrow-beam acoustic signal and measures the travel time for the signal to bounce back from the target surface. The unit provides range data in both analog and digital formats for analysis and process control. This microprocessor-based system automatically adjusts the receiver gain to compensate for false echoes and ambient noise. The unit is also programmed to measure water temperature and depth. Rated to 2000 and 6000 meters, the PSA-900 is completely self-contained and requires only external DC power between 15 and 28 Volts to operate. The unit is connected to other instrumentation through a color-coded seven-wire pigtail cable. 6000 meter version available (PSA-900D).

PSA-916 Sonar Altimeter
The Datasonics PSA-916 Sonar Altimeter is a microprocessor-controlled, self-contained, underwater acoustic product. It generates a narrow beam acoustic signal and measures the travel time for the signal to bounce back from the target surface. The unit provides range data in both analog and digital formats for analysis and process control. The PSA-916 is housed in a corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum pressure case. It is O-ring-sealed and rated for operation in water depths up to 6000 meters. The external 6-pin connector provides connections for external power source input, external key source input, analog and RS-232 output. The Model PSA-916 with the built-in flexibility of its microprocessor design, cost-effectively meets a wide variety of sonar measurement applications with a single self-contained instrument.

BFP-312 Bottom Finding Pinger and BFP-312HP High Power Bottom Finding Pinger
Used in conjunction with a standard 12 kHz shipboard bathymetric recorder to monitor height off bottom of instruments or sampling equipment being lowered through the water column. Can be used effectively for positioning of CTD instrumentation, fishing nets, coring tools, water bottles or other items where accurate vertical positioning relative to the bottom is required.
