Subsea Options

Benthos' subsea acoustic modems serve as the underwater component of the bi-directional acoustic communication link. Subsea modems are interfaced with a host instrument or AUV, and acoustically transmit/receive data from the host to the topside acoustic modem. Each subsea modem is available in a variety of configurations including customer-selected frequency range and integral or remote transducer.

The ATM-885 is rated to 2000m and includes 21V Alkaline batteries, 18 amp HR, modem electronics, and an integral transducer – directional or Omni Directional (LF, MF, HF)

The ATM-887 is rated to 6000m and includes 21V Alkaline batteries, 28 amp HR, modem electronics, and an integral transducer – directional or Omni Directional (LF, MF, HF)

There is also an OEM Option for AUV applications, or to mount in your own pressure housing.
